We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our project management and engineering teams while helping strengthen client relationships. This strategic role combines technical leadership with a forward-thinking approach to business growth. You’ll manage a team of 8–12 professionals, ensure projects launch smoothly, and support client engagement to help secure new opportunities. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering expertise, proven leadership experience, and an outgoing, collaborative style that complements the existing leadership team. Your future role
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Operations Coordinators
- Oversee project execution from planning through delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
- Manage licensing and compliance for multi-state projects, including GC licensing
- Support structural engineering needs and facility integration projects
- Collaborate with leadership on business development, risk management, and long-term strategy
- Engage with clients as needed to help secure new opportunities and strengthen relationships
- Drive process improvements and forward-thinking solutions to enhance efficiency and growth
Required skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams
- Strong communicator with an outgoing, relationship-focused leadership style and basic sales skills
- Strong understanding of construction and structural engineering principles
- Ability to navigate multi-state licensing requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT preferred
