Your future work environment
You will be joining our team of seasoned Test Engineers in our Salt Lake City facility; The Test Engineer will work with the Engineering team to ensure the successful launch of new products. This job will require experience in electrical and software automation, data collection and an understanding of general mechanical principles. This role works directly with the product development team to deliver products which are fully tested and validated. Under the direction of a Product Engineer, this role will be responsible for ensuring the successful launch of products as well as maintenance of products in the field.

Your future role
- Assist in the start up and commissioning of new equipment
- Perform various engineering evaluations through the collection of data
- Issue reports and recommendations based on analytics
- Prepare test fixtures, data acquisition systems, create test lab procedures and schedules
- Test prototype products for performance verification, quality improvements in complex environments
- Create standard operating procedures for our customers
- Design and perform experimentation for early validation and verification of new designs and concepts.
- Work with Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering to understand trends in the field implement solutions
Required skills
- High safety proficiency
- Two-year technical or four-year college degree in a related technical field
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic schematics
- Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs and robotic automation
- PLC troubleshooting experience, i.e., the ability to upload and download — an asset
- Teaching skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Great communication and training skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Technical Skills
- Mechatronic and electro-mechanic
- Robotics — FANUC or similar preferred
- Controls — VFD, PLCs, HMI, Allen Bradley or similar
- Electrical — high and low voltage
- Mechanical
- Pneumatics
- Hydraulics
