Your Future Role: Test Engineer

As a Test Engineer, you will work with our engineering team to ensure the successful launch of new products. This role demands experience in electrical and software automation, data collection, and an understanding of general mechanical principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the start-up and commissioning of new equipment, particularly in industrial packaging environments.
  • Perform engineering evaluations through data collection, issuing reports, and providing equipment recommendations to sales and customers.
  • Prepare test fixtures, and create comprehensive test lab procedures.
  • Verify performance and quality improvements through robust testing of prototype products.
  • Design and execute experiments for early validation and verification of new designs and concepts.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering teams to implement field solutions.

Technical Experience:

  • 3+ years of professional experience with a focus on industrial plant applications.
  • Knowledge of robotics, especially FANUC preferred.
  • Expertise in Controls — VFD, PLCs, HMI, Allen Bradley.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics. Ability to troubleshoot high and low voltage electrical issues.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and pneumatic systems.

Required Skills:

  • Two-year technical or four-year college degree in related technical fields.
  • Strong ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and robotic automation; PLC troubleshooting is an asset.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent teaching, communication, and training skills.
  • Time management skills and an unwavering commitment to productivity and safety.
