They tackle the exciting challenges of designing state-of-the-art equipment for intricate, custom automated material-handling systems. We are seeking an inspiring and enthusiastic leader to guide this talented team at our Montgomery, AL facility.

Your future team

We are among the largest conditioning, handling, and packaging automated equipment suppliers in the world — whether for nutrition, agriculture, organics or industrial products.

Your future role

  • Lead teams to develop technical designs and comprehensive engineering documentation
  • Ensure project scopes incorporate input from all relevant disciplines, meeting established cost, schedule, and performance goals
  • Optimize project schedules to identify critical paths and major risks, implementing proactive mitigation strategies
  • Encourage prompt action when key deliverables are at risk and support effective problem-solving
  • Cultivate teamwork and foster an environment of collaboration, transparency, and trust
  • Mentor team members and emerging managers to enhance skills and autonomy
  • Manage R&D projects and conduct thorough reviews of technical documents, customer specifications, and quotations
  • Collaborate daily with the operations team to resolve issues and implement improvements
  • Oversee personnel and workload planning, tracking key performance indicators for project success
  • Ensure accurate tracking of hours against project budgets

Required skills

  • Over 10 years of industry design experience and industrial manufacturing processes
  • Minimum of five years of leadership and management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering, or a related field
  • Current Professional Engineer licensure— an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead large-scale custom projects under tight deadlines
  • In-depth expertise in integrating mechanical, electrical, and control components to produce high-quality final products
  • Strong communications skills — both written and spoken
