Your future role in a few words

  • Promote health and safety practices to mitigate risks and safety issues
  • Manage uptime — proactively identify and address customers’ challenges 
  • Advise and train customers on the use of the equipment
  • Understand and harmonize both of customers’ operation and management needs into clear actions or recommendations
  • Facilitate a harmonious relationship with customers and team members across functions
  • Carry out daily reports on activity, book travels and report timesheet and expenses in timely manner
  • Provide technical phone support for troubleshooting and supporting colleagues — team collaboration is essential
  • Maintain availability for communication with management and customer after traditional work hours
  • Promote services, parts, retrofits and training recommendations to customers in line with helping them reach their objectives
  • Audit equipment and provide recommendations to optimize uptime
  • Test equipment to make sure it meets safety regulations

Required skills

  • Proven work experience as a field service technician with electromechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment
  • High school diploma/GED — associate degree with an emphasis in mechanical, electrical, or automation is a plus
  • PLC troubleshooting experience — an asset
  • Ability to upload and download service of packaging machinery — an asset
  • High safety proficiency — an asset
  • Consultative selling skills — ability to uncover customers’ needs and serve them well
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Great communication and training skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
