In order to achieve the excellence sought by our consumers, products must be routed efficiently, requiring flawless organization.

Our growth objective now allows us to rethink this organization and to invest in creating a brand new purchasing position. For this reason, we need new talent and are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator. Your role will be to develop and build relationships of trust with our business partners, while ensuring compliance with costs, quality, and quantity of raw materials. You will also work closely with the supply chain team.

To ensure good coordination between our manufacturing plants, our copackers, our storage centers, and our distribution centers, it is essential to surround yourself with the best team members!

YOUR MAIN ASSIGNMENTS:

  • With the greatest of discernment, authority, and skill, you research, analyze, select, approve, and negotiate with suppliers.
  • In order to always work with the best people, you must track and evaluate the services obtained.
  • You develop long-term agreements and business relationships with suppliers.
  • You make major purchases, sometimes specialized, as well as make recommendations.
  • You support the technical teams in matters of purchasing and procurement.
  • You implement monitoring and control tools to achieve supply objectives.

THE DESIRED PROFILE:

  • You have at least five years of experience in a similar role.
  • You are proficient in the principles of optimized production, or lean manufacturing.
  • You are a skilled negotiator, passionate about business relationships, and proficient in the fundamental principles of supply logistics.
  • You like to juggle numbers, but also to plan and anticipate budgets and needs.
  • You like to interact with people and are comfortable acting as a facilitator.
  • You are at ease using Excel and ERP.
  • Your communication skills are recognized both verbally and in writing, in French and in English.

The position is available at the World headquarters in Rivière-du-Loup or at our offices in Mississauga.
