Your future role
- Develop, implement and manage effective safety systems in collaboration with a team of professionals
- Support site leaders in all safety-related aspects
- Be the health and safety reference for site leaders
- Ensure that newly identified risks are effectively managed
- Deliver safety orientation training
- Participate in joint health and safety committee meetings
- Promote Premier Tech’s Culture and Values
- Set the tone for safety by demonstrating safe behaviors and inspiring others to follow
- Create engaging and impactful content (including PowerPoint presentations) that supports learning and collaboration
- Learn and manage the organization’s accident management software, serving as the key contact and system expert for assigned sites
- Build positive, trusting relationships by acting as a supportive health and safety advisor, helping managers and teams integrate safety into daily operations
Required skills
- Diploma in HR or degree in Occupational Health and Safety
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong, trusting relationships
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Effective communication abilities, both written and oral
- Experience in delivering training sessions and workshops
- Proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Willingness to travel to worksites in Western Canada and USA, up to 40% of the time
- Valid class five driver’s license
- Bilingual in English and French (an asset)
