Your future role
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of large assembly lines to ensure efficient operations
- Perform preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment to minimize downtime
- Manage parts inventory, including tracking stock levels and submitting requisition orders for necessary supplies
- Conduct thorough cleaning, maintenance, and major repairs on all production equipment to maintain optimal functionality
- Coordinate the availability of materials to ensure uninterrupted production line operations
- Adhere to established safety protocols while promoting a clean and organized workspace
- Operate and maintain equipment such as pallet wrappers, cardboard balers, and various hand and power tools
Required skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role
- Mechanically inclined with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting
- Proficient in reading and writing reports, as well as following standard operating procedures
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Strong foundational skills in basic mathematics
- Adept in using computers and software programs
- Certification or training in forklift operation
- Understanding of PLCs such as Siemens and Allen Bradley – an asset
- Experience working on automated liquid filling equipment – an asset
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts
- Comfortable working in environments with moderate noise levels
- Capable of handling and maneuvering heavy weights of up to 200 kg safely
- Willingness to complete a three-month probationary period
